App Store Templates and Guidelines

Updating app screenshots in the App Store or adding new apps to Google Play and Huawei AppGallery can be a daunting task, especially if done infrequently. Thankfully, we have compiled essential information and templates to streamline this process, aiding in the swift and effortless preparation of graphic content for publishing your app. The templates, available for Figma and Sketch, are readily accessible on Google Drive​1​.

App Store

Icons

App icons must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • No specified corner radius (corners are not rounded)

  • Absence of transparency layers in mockups

  • Flattened layers

  • Saved in PNG format​1​.

Steps to Use the Template

  1. Position your app's icon in the template.

  2. Download the icon pack for the iPhone, iPad, or both devices simultaneously.

  3. Icons will be named and saved in the required size for uploading​1​.

Screenshots

At least one screenshot should be uploaded for the app, up to a maximum of 10. For more detailed requirements and specifications for iPhone, iPad, and other Apple devices, please refer to the Screenshot Specifications section on the App Store Connect Help page​1​.

Video

Videos can be added to enhance the presentation of the app. The requirements can be found on the App Preview Specifications section on the App Store Connect Help page​1​.

Google Play

Icons

App icons must meet the following requirements:

  • Size: 512 x 512 px

  • PNG format

  • Full square (no rounding)

  • No shadows​1​.

Screenshots and Other Graphic Materials

You should upload at least two screenshots for the app, up to a maximum of eight. Other graphics also need to be prepared, such as a high-resolution icon, an image for description, and a banner for TV​1​.

Huawei AppGallery

Icons

The app icon must meet the following requirements:

  • Size: 216x216 px

  • PNG or WebP format

  • Full square (no rounding)​1​.

Screenshots and Other Graphic Materials

At least three screenshots should be uploaded for the app. There's no specific upper limit, but moderation is recommended. For more information about downloading, please consult the developer's guide​1​.
